Animal Production

Artificial insemination is a critical stage for producing successful for the commercial meat industry. Bovine and swine make up for the majority of farm animals used for agricultural food production.  In 2020, the USDA estimates that the production of cattle, hogs, and pigs for the United States totaled 86 billion pounds.  Our IVOS and CEROS sperm analyzers provide dosing calculations to help you identify livestock’s genetic potential or assess the quality of previously frozen sperm samples. 

Animal Conservation Breeding

Hamilton Thorne is proud to provide solutions for conservation breeding efforts for endangered species. Our semen analyzers have been used to help prevent a variety of different species from extinction, ranging from the Mexican Gray Wolf to the vulnerable coral in the Great Barrier reef. Hamilton Thorne’s semen analyzers can analyze the reproductive potential of a broad range of animals with the ability to set individual parameters for each species. Our research lasers assist with performing ICSI for artificial insemination procedures on endangered species.
